Introduction to Project Development

Hubexo (Byggfakta)

What can you do in Project development?

With Project development you follow construction and development projects on the Swedish market – from the early planning stages through to completion. Here you can, among other things:

  • see ongoing and planned projects in an area directly on the map

  • get an overall picture of project value, investment, LOA (non-residential floor area), BTA (gross floor area), flats and buildings

  • explore how projects are distributed between different project types

  • follow construction starts and completions over time in a timeline

Getting Started

Zoom in on an area or use the filters to find the projects that are most relevant to you. On the right, Insights shows key figures for your selection, and you can switch between Map and List at the top of the view whenever you like.

Tip: Is it hard to make out individual projects on the map? Switch to the list view — it is easier to find the right project there.

What can you filter on?

In the panel on the left you can narrow down your selection in several ways:

  • Area — choose country and municipality

  • Project value — narrow down by the size of the project

  • Date range — filter on construction start and completion

  • Project types — for example multi-dwelling buildings, schools/education or roads/streets

  • Development type — the type of development in the project

How projects are placed on the map

If Byggfakta lacks an exact project address (street + house number), the project is instead placed at a general reference point. The placement is then based on the most detailed information available, in the following order:

  1. Street

  2. Postal code

  3. City / locality

Important: If only the postal code or city is provided (the least granular levels), this may result in several projects being placed at the same location in the map view. This can make it difficult to distinguish individual projects — in such cases, the list view is a better way to find the correct project.
