What can you do with the climate risk analysis?
The climate risk analysis shows how climate-related risks may affect a property up to the year 2100 — and gives you a workflow for managing them. In the tool you can, among other things:
start analyses for one or several properties at once
adjust risk levels based on what you know about the property
add comments, documents and action proposals for each risk
export a report for a single property or an overview of your entire portfolio
Want to know how the assessments are calculated — method, scenarios and data sources? You will find that in Climate Risk Analysis - Method and Data Sources.
Getting Started
The climate risk analysis is run via a module in Pipeline. Start by enabling the Climate risk management module on the board you want to work with — this is also where you choose which risks to include in the analysis.
Generating the analysis may take some time — you can choose to receive an email when it is ready.
Start multiple analyses at once
Need to analyse an entire portfolio? The quickest way is to go to the list view on the board, select the properties you want to work with, click Manage selected and choose Start climate risk analysis.
Open the full analysis
Click on a property that has an analysis and a summary will appear under the Climate risk analysis tab — risks by category, high-risk areas and a summary of the action proposals. Click Show full analysis to continue to the complete analysis.
You can also find the analysis on the property card under Climate risk analysis.
Add an adjusted analysis
The data-driven analysis is the baseline that Kliva calculates. If you know more about the property than the model can see — completed measures, local conditions, an in-depth investigation — you can supplement it with your own assessment.
Click New adjusted analysis in the top-right corner of the full analysis. You will then get a new column where you can click Adjust risk level for each risk you want to change. The data-driven analysis remains untouched alongside it, so you can always see what is calculated and what you have assessed yourselves.
Comments, documents and action proposals
At the far end of each risk row there is a three-dot menu. There you can choose:
Add comment — explain an adjustment or note what you have agreed on internally.
Add document — attach supporting material, for example an in-depth investigation or an inspection report.
Add action proposal — describe a planned measure with a title, description, estimated cost, currency, priority and expected year. You can also attach documents to the proposal itself.
Everything you add is collected per risk, so that the assessment, reasoning and action stay together.
Export
Report for a single property
In the full analysis, click Export in the top-right corner to download the report as a Word document. The Report tab is a preview of how the report will look — the actual download is done via Export.
Overview for the entire portfolio
Want to include all properties at once? Go to Climate risk management in the left-hand menu of the board and select Climate analysis. Click Export in the top-right corner to download an Excel file with the properties, their risks and the adjustments you have made.
